Mark Holton awarded Medal of the Order of Australia By on Jun 14, 2025

We’re proud to share that Smithink Director Mark Holton has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the General Division as part of the 2025 King’s Birthday Honours. This award recognises Mark’s outstanding service to the community through a broad range of sporting, educational, and charitable organisations.
While well-known in the accounting profession for his 40+ year career in practice, consulting, and education, Mark’s contributions outside the profession have been just as significant.
He is the founding Chair of the Regional Academies of Sport, which supports talented young athletes across NSW, and continues to serve as its Chair more than 20 years on. He is also the long-standing Honorary Treasurer of the Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney, a role he has held for over 30 years. Additionally, he has served in board and leadership roles across rugby league, basketball, racing, community banking, and other organisations.
This national recognition reflects not only Mark’s exceptional career but also his deep commitment to giving back.
We’re thrilled to see his contributions honoured in this way. Congratulations, Mark!
